Old St. Croix

The Anniversary Edition is one of A.H. Riise's most popular blends and was created to celebrate the 175th birthday of Albert Heinrich Riise and the opening of his pharmacy on the island of St Thomas. The master blender has created a truly magical blend of distillates matured in old Oloroso Sherry and Pedro Ximenez Sherry casks.

Nose: Aromas of orange marmalade, shortbread, toffee and vanilla.
Palate: Full and creamy with notes of mint and burnt cedar.
Finish: Long, creamy aftertaste that fades into a light tannic note from the oak cask.

A.H. Riise Gold Medal Rum is a true Caribbean rum.‍ This smooth, sweet and creamy drop is matured in oak casks, bringing a perfectly rounded fullness of "liquid gold" to the glass.

Nose: A deliciously full nose with notes of vanilla, caramel, honey and candied fruit with hints of dark chocolate and coffee, complemented by a handful of herbs and spices such as anise, liquorice and cinnamon.
Palate: The rum has a delicious flavour with notes of dark fruits and candied apples, sultanas and oranges that provide a velvety balance.
Finish: Harmonious flavour with a long aftertaste of tobacco, leather and spices.

The XO Ambre d'Or Reserve is a luxurious evolution of the well known and popular A.H. Riise XO Reserve Sauternes Cask, with an amber colour and aromas of ripe fruit, old leather and a delicate wine aroma of noble grapes, and a characteristic sweetness due to maturation in selected old casks that were once used to produce beautifully sweet white wines.

Nose: Wonderful aromas of vanilla, flowers, hay and butterscotch.
Palate: Lemon flavours combined with vanilla and the fragrant notes of sweet wine casks create an exquisite taste.
Finish: Full and creamy with notes of ripe fruit that slowly fade.

A.H. Riise XO Port Cask is a fine blend of distillates from the West Indies and Central America. The special thing about this blend is that it combines distillates that have been matured in old oak casks with distillates that have been matured in port casks, allowing them to rest and mature, absorbing the different tones and aromas of the previously stored port wine.

Nose: Vanilla and yellow fruits, such as pineapple and banana, under a layer of drier red fruits, with a subtle hint of port wine.
Palate: Yellow and red fruits, port, tobacco and cedar.
Finish: Rich and long with a harmonious, dry and chocolatey finish.

With an average age of 25 years, this golden-red rum is an exclusive blend of the best distillates from the West Indies and Central America, all matured in the best old oak casks.  A beautiful, soft and delicate flavour with a "bite".

Nose: Dark spices and a hint of smoke. Pungent orange peel and umami.
Palate: Initially fruity and sweet, followed by a strong note of light leather and cardamom.
Finish: Long finish with hints of lemon, vanilla cream and cinnamon.

A.H. Riise Rum Cream Liqueur is a delicious, creamy liqueur and a mild alternative to rum. "A.H. Riise Rum Cream Liqueur is made from selected mature XO rum and a white layer of the finest cream from Irish free-range cows.

Nose: Notes of citrus and rum combined with peppermint caramel.
Palate: Warm rum with hints of cappuccino, mint and soft, warm caramel.
Finish: Delicate mint flavour followed by creamy caramel.

A.H. Riise XO Reserve - Thin Blue Line Denmark Rum has been specially blended to honour the vital work of the Danish Police. This special blend is a perfect combination of rums from the Caribbean and South America, aged between seven and 21 years.

Nose: Leathery, with a hint of sea mist and a hint of herbs.
Palate: Complex and intense, with a balanced blend of vanilla, caramel, yellow fruits and herbs.
Finish: Dried tannins combined with leather and tobacco.

The mahogany-coloured Royal Danish Navy is blended by hand from various rum distillates in the old seafaring tradition.  The molasses base is slowly fermented and distilled using the pot still method to produce a rum with an alcohol content of 85%, before being diluted to a pleasant 40%.

Nose: Varied aromas of liquorice, orange peel, coconut, papaya, eucalyptus and a hint of mint; hints of sweet and bitter balsamic reduction, black tea and Christmas spices.
Palate: Full flavour that balances the oiliness with green notes of eucalyptus and mint, yellow citrus notes and the bitterness of liquorice and balsamic vinegar.
Finish: Long with notes of mocha and dark chocolate with orange.

Centuries of experience in maturing and blending are reflected in this unique spiced rum which, unlike A.H. Riise's other spirits which tend to be amber and glossy, has a darker syrupy colour. This is the result of maturing in barrels that are heavily charred on the inside. The charred wood not only gives the spirit a darker colour, but also changes the flavour, giving the maturing spirit more complex smoky and spicy notes with a lower tannin content.

Nose: mocha, walnuts, burnt figs and lightly toasted oak.
Palate: Christmas spices and dark chocolate combine to create a deep, rich flavour.
Finish: The mocha flavour returns and slowly fades.

XO Reserve Superior is an exquisite, strictly limited edition rum, made from only the finest casks in the A.H. Riise XO range, and as the name suggests, it is truly superior.

Nose: Fresh mint, toffee and leather to start with, then a hint of citrus.
Palate: Lovely fruity body with plum cake, eucalyptus and a hint of white tea with bergamot oil.
Finish: Long, creamy finish with notes of leather and bergamot.‍

Non Plus Ultra La Galante takes its name from Christopher Columbus' ship, Santa Maria La Galante, on which he discovered the Antilles and the green island of St Croix, and the bottle also pays homage to A.H. Riise's first brand, Old St Croix, which appeared on his bottles 150 years ago along with A.H. Riise's signature. ‍

Nose: Exhilarating aromas of orange, caramel, crème brûlée and vanilla, with hints of mahogany and the aromatic wood of the bay rum trees that grow wild in the West Indies.

Ambre d'Or Excellence is the result of true craftsmanship. After maturing in selected oak casks, the rum is stored in French wine barrels that were previously used to age sweet dessert wines. This gives it a warm golden colour and a fruity flavour.

Nose: Preserved plums, butter biscuits and a light floral note.
Palate: Creamy and velvety with notes of preserved plums, vanilla and a sherry sweetness.
Finish: The rich taste finishes long and sweet with notes of vanilla and plums.‍

What better way to honour the Danish diving corps than with a unique blend: A.H. Riise "Royal Danish Navy Frogman - Conventus Ranae" has been hand blended by the master distiller and matured in beautiful casks, each with its own history.

Nose: Despite the high alcohol content, the nose is rather light, dominated by balsamic glaze and mocha with orange peel and a hint of toast.
Palate: The alcohol is more present on the palate, but pleasantly integrated, and the notes from the nose reappear, along with pineapple and coconut.
Finish: Very creamy with notes of dark chocolate and mocha.

A.H. Riise Rum Caramel Cream Liqueur is a slightly milder alternative to the full-bodied rums, with a small amount of sea salt added to balance the sweetness of the caramel cream with the richness of the rum. The liqueur's caramel is made according to old Danish confectionery traditions.

Nose: Light notes of rum and caramel cream.
Palate: Rich cream and mint, followed by muted notes of coffee and a light salty taste.
Finish: Warm rum notes with a hint of oak, coated in cream.‍

Nose: stewed dark fruits, burnt figs and orange peel, with a slightly noticeable punch due to the high alcohol content.

Palate: Notes of eucalyptus and mint, citrus and the bitterness of liquorice and balsamic vinegar.

Palate: The same primary aromas with a hint of coconut.
